 10 great ways to use up your leftover hot dog's buns

One of life's greatest mysteries is that hot dogs are sold in ten-packs, while hot dog buns are sold in eight-packs. So unless you buy at least 10 packs of hot dogs and 8 packs of hot dogs for your backyard pet, you'll always have a few buns left. 

Having leftovers isn't the worst thing in the world - you can use a mini hot dog for your next sandwich, reheat leftovers, or split a hot dog two like hamburger buns.

 But it turns out that there are many good ways to put hot dog buns to a good use and most of them are more delicious than a ham sandwich and a hot dog.

1. Pizza Boat

Who needs crusty pizza when you have hot dog buns? Cut the hot dog in half, then top each half with your favorite pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pizza toppings. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
