How to store raspberries

A great trick to keeping raspberries fresh is to remove any extra moisture. Once you get home from the farmer's market or grocery store, place all of your raspberries on a paper towel to allow the water to absorb. You may find that some fruits are shriveled or crushed; these must be discarded and not added to other raspberries.

Once the raspberries are dry, return them to their original shells or cracked ceramic containers. Air circulation is essential to keeping fruit fresh, so it's important not to store them in an airtight container.

Finally, you will store your raspberries in front of your refrigerator. Placing raspberries in the back of the refrigerator, or even in the crisper drawer, can cause them to spoil quickly. As we said, when properly stored in the refrigerator, raspberries should be fresh for about two days (maybe three days).
